Where’s the mosque ?

  1 - This is one of the most important mosques in Cairo and one of the most impressive Islamic monuments.  2- It was built between 876 and 879 AD.  (Jesus Christ) by Prince Ahmet Ibn Tulun , founder of the Tulun Dynasty.
  He founded the third Islamic capital of Egypt on Mount Yuchkour, around the huge mosque southeast of Cairo.
  4- The mosque was built in the mosque of Samarra in Mesopotamia.  The mosque has a square shape and measures 162 x 161 M in the center.  There is also a large square yard of 92 x 91 meters.
  Ziyadat surrounds the city walls.  The mosque on 3 sides is built of brick to protect it from fire and water.
  6 - The arches of the arch are supported by brick columns covered with a thick layer of plaster resting on gates forming laminated arches at each corner.
  7- There are 129 windows on the walls of the mosque with plaster decorations representing geometric and plant motifs.
  8- The Minerat is 4 meters high and the outer staircase is a special type of glass.
  9- It seems that the mosque's architect was a Syrian Christian who also built the tower of the aqueduct he served.
  10. They say that when he heard Ahmed Ibn Tulun want to build his own church without fire, he could only fulfill his wish of the prince.

Who is Ahmed Ibn Tulun ?

(1) A member of the Turkish slave Caliph Abbasid  (Al Mamoun ) , was sent to Egypt in 868 AD.  as governor of the country and after two years became governor of the country and refused to send annual dedications to Caliph Abbas.  .  became an independent governor of Egypt.

3- Here God spoke to Musa.
Near Qala in al-kabsh, Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice his son to God.
4- The city was named after every group of followers who followed in the same place.
Ahmed Ibn Tulun built a university on a mountain yushkur to 263-265 in the style of Samarra and ruined because of the fire of Fustat and was repaired Lagen period in 1296- 1298 and the historical importance of the mosque hide the sword Lagen , who killed Ashraf Khalil , who became Sultan and the dinar el ahmedy reached the golden purity of 99,5 , the dirham of silver and copper fils .
Who ruled after Ahmad ibn Tulun is his son Khamarweh and is built a large orchard and collected a large group of predators and make the center of the orchard full of mercury filled with mercury so that the night came reflected by the stars and the moon in the dark night.
The most expensive marriage in history is the marriage of Qatar Al-Nada, daughter of Khamarawiya bin Ahmed bin Tulun from the Abbasid caliph al-Mu'tadidh Allah.
Khamarweh wanted to marry the son of the Caliph and is called the conciliator God, and this led to the bankruptcy of the Tulunid state and its fall and Egypt returned to the fold of the Abbasid Caliphate again by Muhammad ibn Suleiman al-Katib 292 AH - 905
